The halls of power

Spent the day folding more quilts, and eavesdropping on the film crew that was in filming a documentary about "The West Wing." I didn't get to see all sorts of celebs, more's the pity, but while we were folding, Betty Curie, former secretary to Pres. Clinton, and Lanny Davis, who was, if I remember right, Clinton's Chief of Staff, were sitting a few feet away getting made up for their portions of the interviews. So I am now a little closer to a few people if we're playing Six Degrees.

Otherwise, the film crew was a pain, because the marble halls echo horribly, so we had to sneak around like mice and not make any noises that would reverberate. But the people who were working on the crew were pretty nice, so it's all good. It's nice to see people who appreciate a beautiful quilt for what it is, and not dismiss it as some old thing that has no relevance to today.

Need to cut this short - I've gotta get home before the post office closes so I can pick up a certified letter. I'm betting it's the ticket from Pennsylvania - yippy skip. Fuckers.
