Andare, Partire, Tornare ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vacation life Spent yesterday turning the bedroom into the office, and the office into the bedroom. It looks like it works, for now, anyway, although the bedroom needs tweaking, and the office now has stuff piled on every available surface. But in theory, we have actual room to entertain people, should anybody come and visit. Paying bills with the joyous and rare third paycheck of the month, and went on a massive grocery binge, including lots of meat (was on sale - chicken breasts and ground beef and some gorgeous steaks I paid a signifigant sum for, because I'm tired of getting chintzy steaks that you have to work to make edible). Arrgh. I know it's not that we have too many clothes, it's that we have no place to put them - but I am so tempted to start flinging stuff into the trash just to get it out of my hair. Not a great reaction, but almost overwhelming. Tomorrow begins the week of dismantling, wherein we put everything in the exhibition back in its place, so the workers can go in, sand the floors down after the leak, and repaint all the gaily beribbioned walls back to a neutral color. Then, instillation of the next exhibit, which will be much more somber. 2:26 p.m. - 2002-09-02 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
