Andare, Partire, Tornare ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lady Chatterly. And mentions of things anal. Next time you're in the car with a loved one, play the anal game: put the word "anal" in front of various models of car. It's a very bonding experience to snigger together over gems like Anal Expedition and Anal Rodeo. I did end up picking up a copy of Lawrence's Lady Chatterly's Lover and am finding it very interesting. Lawrence tends to beat a metaphor into the ground, which is irritating, and the way he handles narration and dialogue is just slightly skewed from other authors to where I need to focus a bit more on figuring out what he's saying. He's not really incomprehensible, and you don't have to chip away at his paragraphs like you do with Henry James, but I'm making my way through the book rather slowly. If anybody out there has read him, please let me know, because I'd like to hear if I should pick up his other books. I now have a gmail account. I don't really need one, but it's spiffy, so I'm going to play around with it a little and see how it works out. 3:02 p.m. - 2004-06-25 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
