Andare, Partire, Tornare ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- tv woes We were supposed to get sattelite tv. We found a place that gave us the dish and the install for free, and we got the thing shipped to us, and then scheduled the install. Our downstairs neighbor has a dish, so we figured there would be no problem. Today, the install people ask for a letter from the apartment office stating that we've been given permission to put a dish up. No problem, thinks my husband. Other people here have it, I'll just call up and ask if we can have one typed up for us. Sure you can, say the rental office people. But you have to take out at least $100,000 in insurance because the dish might fall off your balcony and kill somebody or blow into a car or something. Getting insurance would add about twelve to fifteen dollars on top of our monthly sattelite tv bill. And you know what? By that point, it's just as expensive as cable tv, and more hassle. At this point, I barely care. We've got network tv and PBS, so I have access to The Amazing Race (tomorrow, yay!) and that's all I need right now. 4:13 p.m. - 2004-11-15 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
