Basic eight

I am fascinated by this community, although not enough to join (Not yet, anyway).

Nova Roma

It's only ten to noon, and already I've been in Furniture Storage, Quilt Storage, and on the roof. Whee!

The Basic Eight is a strange and interesting book, but not quite as lighthearted as the cover blurbs make it out to be. It is definitely black comedy, but with an ever so slight bias more towards the black than the comedy. I think this blurb is probably the best representation of the novel: "Dazzlingly funny...Coverly lyrical and absolutely without parental supervision. The Basic Eight manages to be amoral and humane simultaneously. - Mark O'Donnell, author of Getting Over Homer"

Boop visited yesterday and was sent away with a sack full of books. Does that make me a pusher? I bought a new bookshelf about a week ago and I *still* have books stacked everywhere, and no place for a new bookshelf...
