Andare, Partire, Tornare

Those Irish and their beers...their delicious, delicious beers...

Just got back from the second of the two museum parties, this one at a kickass Irish pub called Fado's. I downed three Harps, ate decent toasted cheese sandwiches on sourdough bread, and hung out with Prep Lad, his friends, Flirty Feminist, and The Man Who Secretly Runs It All (aka the office manager). This was really our first time out as a group, sort of presenting a unified front to other people. It's in a sense very good PR for our museum, which has such a low profile.

It was tons of fun, especially since the past two days have been full of photography, which is not strenuous but which involves a lot of waiting around and small fussing over little details. Things that look normal to the eye turn out really odd when you're trying to capture them on film, and there was a lot of playing with different lenses, moving furniture back and forth and back again, and other little pickypicky things that eventually make you want to scream and break something. Thankfully, our photographer is a great guy, and we hung out and chatted with him, and Prep Lad drooled cheerfully over the cute photographer's assistant, who was rocking the tight jeans and belly shirt.

Going to wrap this up - I still have three beers in me, and I'm thinking a shower and bed is what I want. I'm all nice and mellow, and I want to curl up with a cat and drift off to sleep.
