Andare, Partire, Tornare ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take, take me home, 'cause I want to remember Our potential purchase is now narrowed to the Elantra or the Ford Focus, with the Focus in the lead. The only thing that might prevent us from getting one is that the seats are rumored to be muyuncomfortable, which would not be good for a burly Bemo back. If anybody has any horror stories/songs of praise for the Focus, please share. Spent last night having a coffee with Bemo and Cher, and then wandering over to Persia's house and talking politics until half-past midnight. Much fun. Have to do some compare/contrast work on Dean vs. Clark, as I know somebody in either camp and realize that I don't know enough about either contender. Also glad to discover that Television Without Pity eating babies humor shared by Persia, although not by Cher, who watched in polite disbelief as the two of us cackled about "Carmen eats babies!" and "He's grilling babies! He's gone beyond man and become a beast!" Just finished a reread of Moo by Jane Smiley, and just started Moonwise by Greer Ilene Gilman. Pondering obtaining tickets for Evanescense when they come to our concert hall, as Persia is determined to give them a second chance despite my skepticism, based on viewing them at some New Years Eve show where the lead singer simultaneously sucked and blew. Am now engaged on a search for a song that a co-worker is trying to track down. Will probably prove difficult, as co-worker cannot remember any lyrics beyond "home, home" in the chorus (found in approximately 47% of every song ever written, judging from a Google search) and some reference to "you're the cure" or possibly, "You're my disease." Something medical, anyway. The only other clues are that it's a male singer who sounds like Sting or John Mayer, and it's a piano-based song, uptempo. Should this ring any bells with anybody, let me know so I can put myself out of this misery. Paid a bunch of bills, foisted off the final mailing of the IRS stuff onto the Bemo, now all that remains are two important things: Must Obtain Loan And Buy Car Must Find Red Three Ring Binder 10:45 a.m. - 2004-01-15 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
